POSITION SUMMARY:  This Specialist position requires specific training and previous experience in providing medical assistance to a student or students with medical disabilities or circumstances, to provide personal care support (tracheostomy care) to allow students to fully participate in the educational environment of the school.  This position is full-time each instructional day during the school year.

This is a position for an applicant with a minimum of an LPN credential.

All Teacher Assistants (Paraprofessionals) are required:

*to have a secondary school diploma or its recognized equivalent

And

*meet one of the following qualifications.

•         Have completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education defined as completion of 48 semester hours of college coursework; or
•         Have obtained an associate's degree (or higher); or
•         Have taken and passed the Parapro Test, or the WorkKeys Test or the Oklahoma General Education Test.
