Substitute for Teachers and Teacher Assistants on an on-call basis

In an effort to provide the best customer service to our students you may be asked at times to change your position due to changing circumstances at that school site.  You will not be asked to move to a position that pays less.

Subs with a valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate

• $75/day for the first 50 days

• $85/day for days 50+

Non-certified Subs

• $70/day for the first 50 days

• $80/day for 50+ days

• $75/day for the first 10 days*

• $85/day for days 11-49

• $110/day for 50+ days

*Substitutes that have worked for more than 50 days would receive an additional $10/day

In addition to pay per day substituting, SPS provides bonus payments for consistent and dependable service is in place this year.

• $150 after 20 days of substituting

• $150 after 40 days of substituting

• If you did pay for a Criminal History Record Check before the fee waiver was instituted, substitutes who work more than 30 days will be reimbursed $40.00 of that cost following the 31st day worked.
